Embracing the media

Bulletin Academic has a strong journalistic core. This enables us to identify and successfully pitch stories to achieve maximum media impact.

Because we are across the media agenda, we deliver expert comment from our clients on key stories and issues.

We have an exceptional record of winning coverage that boosts reputations and rankings.

We send newsletters, press releases and briefings to keep our clients in the forefront of journalists’ minds.

We regularly ghost-write features, op-eds and other articles, as well as offering valuable insight and support to those academics who wish to write their own. We can also organise and attend meetings with journalists.

We produce media guides, helping to introduce our clients to journalists and so encouraging enquiries and increasing appreciation of their expertise.

We can also provide media training and support for our clients.

Case study

Our summary of the Institute of International and European Affairs’ ‘greenprint’ for a plan to improve the energy efficiency of 1.2m Irish homes earned coverage in every major national newspaper in Ireland, featured on radio and television and was circulated to politicians, including the Taoiseach and cabinet. The Irish Labour Party later used the report as the basis for much of its policy paper on energy.

“Bulletin’s contribution went beyond helping us achieve coverage for our work in the national press. In sharpening the focus of our National Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme report – which was circulated to the Taoiseach, government ministers and every member of the Irish parliament – they helped to maximise its impact with policymakers.”
